A transformational summer awaits for Dallas and Fort Worth area teens entering their junior or senior year of high school! Your teen will adventure across major cities, exploring ancient ruins, banana boating, hiking through beautiful landscapes, visiting museums, and more. With experts leading the way, teens can immerse themselves in the identity, culture, and history of the Jewish People.

Where will participants go?

Itineraries place the upmost importance on the safety and security of participants as they adventure across Israel visiting major cities, exploring ancient ruins, hiking through beautiful landscapes, praying at the Western Wall, visiting museums, and more. 

What does this trip include?

Teens will start with orientation and bonding events in Dallas before heading to Israel for a guided three-week trip filled with cultural, spiritual, and outdoor experiences. After the trip, reunion gatherings help deepen connections and reflect on the journey.

Who can apply to participate?

Dallas and Fort Worth area teens entering their junior or senior year of high school at the time of the trip (Summer 2026).

Everyone who registers is required to submit a letter of recommendation from a local Rabbi or Cantor and attend a brief in-person interview with Federation staff.

How much does it cost?

The cost of the trip is $5,261 including flight and a RootOne Voucher. Flight information will become available in the spring.

What is the RootOne Voucher?

RootOne helps thousands of Jewish teens travel to Israel each summer for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. RootOne is an ambitious initiative, seeded by a generous gift from The Marcus Foundation and powered by The Jewish Education Project. Once teens who are interested in receiving a RootOne Voucher confirm they are eligible and complete pre-trip education requirements from RootOne, RootOne will provide a $3,000 Voucher directly to BBYO who will then deduct the cost from your trip.

Is there a registration deadline?

Yes. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until January 11, 2026. Space is limited so register early!
