Definitions
“Opting In” refers to requesting, joining, enrolling in, or otherwise consenting to receive one or more text messages from us.
“Text Message Service” includes any arrangement in which we send messages to your mobile phone number, including SMS, MMS, or similar technologies.
Scope of Messaging
By opting in, you agree to receive fundraising messages, donation appeals, event reminders, program updates, and other communications relevant to our mission. Messaging frequency may vary depending on your interaction with us but typically ranges from 2–4 messages per month.
Consent and E-Sign Disclosure
By agreeing to receive text messages, you consent to the use of an electronic record to document your agreement. You may withdraw your consent at any time by replying “STOP.”
Message and Data Rates
We do not charge for this service, but message and data rates may apply depending on your wireless provider.
Privacy and Data Use
We respect your privacy. Information you provide through this service is used solely to transmit messages and respond to you. We may share this information with vendors who assist in message delivery (e.g., platform providers, phone companies), but we do not share opt-in data or consent from third parties for marketing purposes. Opt-Out Instructions
To stop receiving messages, reply with any of the following: “STOP,” “QUIT,” “END,” “REVOKE,” “OPT OUT,” “CANCEL,” or “UNSUBSCRIBE.” You will receive a confirmation message, and no further messages will be sent.

Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted at https://www.jewishdallas.org/sms-terms. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Arbitration and Class Action Waiver
LEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING YOUR RIGHT TO FILE A LAWSUIT IN COURT.
By agreeing to receive SMS messages from Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas (“we,” “our,” or “us”), you also agree to the following dispute resolution terms:
Binding Arbitration
You and Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating in any way to your receipt of SMS messages from us—including any claims based on contract, tort, statute, fraud, misrepresentation, or any other legal theory—shall be resolved by final and binding arbitration rather than in court. This includes disputes about the enforceability or scope of this arbitration provision.
The arbitration shall be conducted by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. You may review those rules at www.adr.org. The arbitration will be conducted by a single arbitrator and, unless otherwise agreed, will be conducted by telephone, online, or based solely on written submissions. The arbitrator’s decision will be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Class Action Waiver
YOU AND JEWISH FEDERATION OF GREATER DALLAS AGREE THAT ANY ARBITRATION OR LEGAL PROCEEDING SHALL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT AS A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION.
You expressly waive any right to participate in a class action, class arbitration, or any other representative proceeding.
If a court or arbitrator finds that any part of this Class Action Waiver is unenforceable, then the entire arbitration agreement shall be null and void.
Opt-Out Option
You may opt out of this Arbitration Agreement and Class Action Waiver within 30 days of first consenting to receive SMS messages from us by sending an email to info@jewishdallas.org with the subject line “SMS Arbitration Opt-Out” and including your full name and phone number.
