In the weeks since the devastating floods swept through Central Texas and the Hill Country, our community has come together in extraordinary ways. Your compassion and generosity have already begun to make a meaningful impact.
Texas Flood Relief: A Community United
Thanks to 3,106 donors across 43 states, the Shalom Austin Flood Relief Campaign has raised an incredible $760,046. Every contribution represents hope, care, and a commitment to helping our neighbors recover and rebuild.
The first round of funding—representing 20% of total allocations—is being distributed to organizations working directly in flood-affected areas. These groups are providing essential services including clean-up, crisis counseling, basic needs assistance, and mental health support:
- Ark of the Highland Lakes
Providing relief, volunteer support, and supplies - Austin Disaster Relief Network
Providing clean-up, crisis counseling, and relief - Cadena
Mucking out houses, clearing debris, and assessing rebuilding opportunities for Jewish community volunteers - Community Foundation of Central Texas
Providing direct financial assistance - Lexipol LLC
Supporting First Responders with mental health services - L4 Cares
Providing basic needs assistance and clean-up support - Shalom Austin Jewish Family Service
Offering case management, emergency financial assistance, and counseling
This is just the beginning. As recovery efforts continue, additional allocations will be announced to meet evolving needs and support long-term rebuilding.
