Sofia Davidson Holocaust Art Exhibit

The Rockwall County Library in partnership with the Texas Holocaust, Genocide and Anti-Semitism Advisory Commission and the Goldrich Family Foundation presents an exhibition of the art of Polish-Jew, Sofia Davidson, a Holocaust survivor who fled Poland during WWII. Her work depicts life before, during, and after the Holocaust. It is described as embodying the true reality of the “quiet trauma” the war etched onto the souls of the survivors of Jewish families from the Holocaust.

The Rockwall County Library will be the first host in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and the first library in the country to show this exhibit. From August 14-October 14, 2026 the exhibition will be free and open to the public. An opening event and presentation will take place on Thursday, August 13, registration required.
