Shabbat in the Round, Dinner, & Conversation with Scholar in Residence, Rabbi Matthew Berkowitz

Join us for one of Shearith Israel’s most beloved Shabbat experiences! Shabbat in the Round is a joyful, high-energy Kabbalat Shabbat filled with spirited singing, lively percussion, and beautiful harmonies, led by our clergy and members of our community.

Following services, enjoy a delicious Shabbat dinner and an engaging conversation with Rabbi Matthew Berkowitz.

Rabbi Matthew Berkowitz is the President of the Schechter Institutes in Jerusalem and co-founder of Kol Ha-ot for the Irene Kogutt Memorial Scholar-in-residence weekend. Throughout the weekend, we will have several opportunities to learn with him through text, images and conversations.

Come sing, connect, and welcome Shabbat together!
