Tikkun Olam, a core Jewish value meaning "to repair the world," guides and informs our work locally and overseas. Through valuable partnerships, the Community Relations team at JFGD pursues the mission to make Dallas a safe, strong, and vibrant city for Jews.

As a representative body of the Jewish community in Dallas, we cultivate these relationships to increase cultural understanding and to enact positive and progressive change in the Greater Dallas area and beyond.

A voice of leadership and advocacy, our Community Relations and Public Affairs team engages in outreach and legislative relations through a variety of interfaith, social action, and Israel-centered initiatives. Jewish Dallas representation matters at every level of decision-making and JFGD ensures our community has a seat at the table.

Israel plays a central role in modern Jewish Dallas identity by serving as our shared homeland and symbol of endurance. JFGD's Department of Community Relations dedicates a portion of funding to Jewish-American interests in and about Israel.
