Mission Statement

The Jewish Women's Philanthropy Center educates, empowers and engages women in our community, fostering a culture of relevance, nurturing leadership and inspiring a commitment to philanthropy. Inspired and guided by our tradition of tzedakah (righteousness/charity) and tikkun olam (repairing the world), the Jewish Women’s Philanthropy Center of the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas is dedicated to the continuity, connectivity and thriving future of our local community, Israel and the Jewish people.

We believe that the future well-being of both our local and global Jewish community is inextricably linked to the power of women's philanthropy, the fastest growing phenomenon in fundraising today. We represent thousands of donors in Dallas including 161 Lions of Judah, and 164 Pomegranates - all of which comprise an annual campaign where our women's division donated $2.7 million a year.

But it is not simply campaign dollars in which our strength resides. Women's philanthropy taps into the largest resource of charitable power - the ability to actually improve the world around us - through our tzedakah and chesed.

  • Why A Woman's Gift

When you give a gift in your own name, you demonstrate the importance tzedakah is to you. By taking your place in the long line of women who have carried on this fundamental Jewish tradition, you inspire others to translate their Jewish caring into giving that makes a difference.
