Join the UNT Jewish and Israel Studies Program in Dr. Yossi Maurey's free public talk, "Jerusalem, the New Jerusalem, and Jerusalems in Medieval Music and Liturgy." This lecture explores Jerusalem's profound impact on medieval Christian liturgy. Dr. Maurey will examine how liturgy and music shaped notions of the heavenly Jerusalem, providing building blocks for ideological projects and physical buildings that were hailed as "New Jerusalem."
