With the help of the community, Operation Kindness alongside the Humane Society of North Texas, Irving Animal Services, Fort Worth Animal Care and Dallas Animal Services ensures that homeless animals in North Texas have everything they need to feel warm, cozy and safe this winter. As a multi-citywide collaboration, Operation Kindness joins other North Texas animal shelters to host the Comfort and Joy Donation Drive. Donations of blankets, toys, treats and canned food will go toward helping animals in need until they find a loving, responsible home.

Needed items include:
· Clean and washed blankets, new or gently worn (no fringe or decorative items on the blankets)
· Canned dog and kitten food
· For dogs: Durable dog toys including rubber toys such as Nylabone® and Kong®-type products, rope and woven toys
· For cats: Plastic toys, small toys that can be swatted. No toys with small parts or choking hazards such as strings and yarn

Donation drop-off is available daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Operation Kindness. Items can be left at the medical wing’s front door, located at 3201 Earhart Drive, Carrollton, TX 75006. Ring the bell, and a staff member will collect the donations and provide a donation receipt. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, Operation Kindness continues to follow the recommended social distancing guidelines and precautions, so donors must wear a mask during donation drop-off.

The Comfort and Joy Donation Drive runs from Dec. 1 – Jan. 2 and opened daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Operation Kindness.
