NCJW Dallas is excited to announce that Carol Francois will be our speaker at Opening Meeting. Dr. Francois is a distinguished educator who served as the Director of Learning for Learning Forward. She currently leads her own business, Francois Consulting and teaches a course that examines the deep-rooted racism in every institution of American life including education, business, health care, housing and more. Carol will use The Warmth of Other Suns by Isabel Wilkerson, which touches on many of these issues, as the jumping off point for her discussion. The book tells the story of The Great Migration of 1915-1970, when 6 million southern Blacks left the southern US to live in the north, and it does so through the experiences of three different migrants.
We will be live streaming this event on our Facebook page and invite members of all NCJW sections to tune in. Contact the office for registration details: info@ncjwdallas.org
