Join us on Monday, September 17 for a Late Night event at the Museum! Sign up for a docent-led tour of the Museum's core exhibition, April 19, 1943: One Day in the Holocaust, and enjoy beverages and light bites throughout the evening.

Guests can also experience our new special exhibition, Let Me Be Myself: The Life Story of Anne Frank. Let Me Be Myself tells the story of Anne Frank in a modern way, addressing current day issues of identity, exclusion, and discrimination. This exhibition also features the U.S. premiere of a Virtual Reality (VR) component from Force Field VR and Oculus Studios that allows the visitor to travel back in time to Anne Frank's hiding place, the "Secret Annex." In a one-of-a-kind experience, visitors will be drawn into the world in which Anne Frank lived - in the shadows of genocide and war.

At 7 p.m., Sam Tornabene (National Board of Governors, Human Rights Campaign) will present our featured program on the surprising history of the LGBT Civil Rights Movement. For many, the advances in civil rights protections for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Americans have been moving at a breakneck pace. But what seems rapid is actually the result of a struggle for equality that has been on-going since before World War II. This program will provide a brief look at the history of the LGBT movement.
