Orchestra of New Spain continues it's series exploring Medieval Spain when Muslim rule allowed Jews and Christians to work and live in relative peace - a time defined as La Convivencia. New Spain soloists perform works from Las Cantigas de Santa Maria of King Alfonso the Wise. Guest vocalist and violinist Michelle Alany interprets Sephardic song from the Iberian peninsula and Morocco, and SMU's Jamal Mohamed and friends perform Arabic pieces. Expect a jam session to close this encounter of 3 cultures!
