About Steve: Steve has extensive leadership experience, including over seven years as president of Verizon Communications-Southwest and Northwest Regions. He also has a long history of volunteer board service in the nonprofit sector including Circle Ten Boy Scouts, Governor’s Business Council, Dallas Citizens Council, and Holt International Children’s Services. Steve brings expertise in lobbying and advocacy, and displays a solid command of leadership skills and success. He has community connections through various chambers (including the Asian, Hispanic, and Black Chambers), and also arising from his tenure at the Verizon Foundation directing millions of dollars in grant money to local non-profit organizations. Steve’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in accounting from Central Michigan University.
