Upstander Speaker Series: Loung Ung
Loung Ung is a Cambodian genocide survivor, activist, and bestselling author. Among the two million victims of the genocide were her parents, two sisters, and twenty other relatives. Along with her brother and sister-in-law, Ung escaped to Thailand, where she lived in a refugee camp before coming to the United States. Her memoir, First They Killed My Father, was made into the critically-acclaimed Netflix original feature film, produced & directed by Angelina Jolie.
