An international religious leader, philosopher, award-winning author and respected moral voice, Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks was recently named the winner of the 2016 Templeton Prize. He served as the Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the Commonwealth from 1991 to 2013 and has taught at various academic institutions; he is currently the Ingeborg and Ira Rennert Global Distinguished Professor at New York University. Rabbi Sacks is the author of more than 30 books; his most recent is Not in God’s Name, which was awarded a 2015 National Jewish Book Award in America
