At age 20, Sivan Ya’ari worked at a clothing company in Africa and made a life-changing discovery: without electricity in the village, water could not be pumped to drink or used to grow food. Technology was the answer.

Innovation: Africa, a New York-based nonprofit, brings Israel solar, agricultural, and water technologies to African villages. As Founder and CEO, Ya’ari has dedicated her life to providing these resources to over 1,000,000 people in Africa over the past ten years in eight countries.
