Author Alexis Clark will discuss her book "Enemies In Love" the story of a German POW, a Black Nurse, and an Unlikely Romance. Twenty-five years before Loving v. Virginia, an African American nurse named Elinor Powell and a soldier in Hitler’s army, Frederick Albert, fell madly in love against all odds in Jim-Crow Arizona. Their story is revealed in full for the first time in ENEMIES IN LOVE: A German POW, a Black Nurse, and an Unlikely Romance (on sale May 15). Drawing on years of first-hand interviews with relatives and friends of Elinor and Frederick, journalist and former Town & Country editor. Seating is limited.
