Do Words Kill? Hate Speech, Propaganda and Incitement to Genocide

Dr. Elizabeth White, Research Director for the Center for the Prevention of Genocide at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, will present a lecture on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 in the Museum's theater at 6:30 pm.

The lecture, Do Words Kill? Hate Speech, Propaganda and Incitement to Genocide, directly addresses the motives behind the Nazi book burnings that took place on May 10th, in 1933. Do words kill? Dr. White will answer this question against the backdrop of the Museum's special exhibition as well as today's intrusive technologies.
