Join us for the opening of our special gallery exhibit, Rebirth after the Holocaust: Bergen-Belsen Displaced Persons Camp, 1945-1950.

Reception: 5:30 p.m.
Talk: 6:30 p.m., Jean Bloch Rosensaft, Assistant Vice President for Communications and Public Affairs at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, and Director of the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion Museum in New York

This exhibit depicts the true story of Jewish survivors who, after experiencing the horrors of the Holocaust, rebuilt their lives from the ground up in the Bergen-Belsen Displaced Persons Camp.

The exhibit, organized by the World Federation of Bergen-Belsen Associations, is presented by the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion Museum.

Rebirth after the Holocaust will run through January 31, 2017.

About Jean Bloch Rosensaft
Jean Bloch Rosensaft is Assistant Vice President for Communications and Public Affairs at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, and Director of the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion Museum in New York. Ms. Rosensaft is a Founder and Vice-President of the International Network of Children of Jewish Holocaust Survivors and a Vice President of the American Gathering of Jewish Holocaust Survivors and Their Descendants.

Ms. Rosensaft’s parents met and married in the Bergen-Belsen Displaced Persons Camp. Her husband, Menachem Rosensaft, was born in the Bergen-Belsen DP Camp.
