Chavurah Zohar Yisrael is a small but growing traditionally oriented community dedicated to serving the spiritual needs of Jews from all backgrounds. The goal of Chavurah Zohar Yisrael is to serve Jews living in South Dallas County (i.e. Cedar Hill, Duncanville, Desoto and Ellis County (e.g. Waxahachie, Red Oak, etc.). Tiferet Israel is Texas' oldest and largest traditional synagogue. At Tiferet Israel, the goal is to provide a traditional Jewish family environment filled with joy, warmth and togetherness. Family is so important to us in leading Tiferet Israel, both spiritually and in song!

Services: Everyday services are held both morning and evening, Friday night service begins at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday morning meets at 9:00 a.m. Torah N-Tefilla-Junior Congregation and Cookie Minyan Services are also available. Activities: Shabbat dinners, youth activities, sisterhood, brotherhood, PTA, Kosher Chili Cookoff, and events for young couples and families are held throughout the year. Educational Programs: Religious and Sunday school from kindergarten through confirmation; Bar/Bat Mitzvah; adult education classes.
